GAMBA was open by the Cuadrat  family in 1967, in the little square where formerly the fish auction market stood, close to the Palamós fishing harbour.


Since then, Josep Antoni and Montse have run the restaurant with high levels of quality and a lot of dedication. They have applied distinction and fineness to their work in order to offer the best fish and seafood available in the bay which their restaurant overlooks.
Consistence and strictness in maintaining the quality, as well as loyalty to traditional cuisine, has been combined with daring to prepare innovative dishes.
Their sons Josep Maria in the dining hall, and Joan in the Kitchen, are part of the current team in LA GAMBA and they surely have inherited the features that have brought prestige to Empordanese cuisine.
This ensures you of their best dishes for many years to come.
